Getting Married in Valley of Fire State Park

Jordan and Marissa were determined to have a stunning elopement in Las Vegas, one that would be remembered for years to come. With their closest friends and family by their side ready for the destination wedding, they made the journey to Las Vegas. They wanted an intimate ceremony with only their nearest and dearest, and an elopement was the perfect way to make that happen.

Vintage Sports Car Photoshoot? Iconic.

Before their elopement in Valley of Fire, Marissa and Jordan kicked off their day exploring Las Vegas in a classic 1955 Ford Thunderbird Sports Car. They drove around the city and captured hundreds of great photos to cherish forever. Hair flying in the wind, it was a lot of fun cruising down the Strip.

Jordan and Marissa looked awesome. She was rocking her white, chic, mini dress, accompanied by stilettos, and a self-made, floor-length, pearl veil, channeling a perfect 90’s movie scene aesthetic in all of their photos.

The soft breeze flowing through her veil created a breathtakingly graceful scene, which made for perfect photos. Her stunning look was one-of-a-kind; with her short dress and stilettos providing an edge, and delicate veil trailing behind her in the wind, she embodied both qualities simultaneously.

The Moments Before

The bride and her friends got ready at a nearby Airbnb. Before Marissa put on her elegant long dress, we snapped some cute, fun photos, then set off for their elopement in Valley of Fire State Park. A new journey for the happy couple was about to begin!

Elopement in Valley of Fire State Park

Nestled amidst the stunning red rocks of the valley, they solemnized their nuptials as if in perfect harmony with nature - right at golden hour. When planning for that perfect moment, I highly recommend all couples consider the time of day, as the sun can always add an extra layer of magic. The radiant hues at sunset can bring incredible beauty and warmth to any situation. Why not add a dreamy, sun-tinged color to your setting?

As their closest loved ones watched Jordan and Marissa tying the knot under the shadow of the tall rocks- Jordan smiling to his heart's content, Marissa's veil swaying softly in the warm wind- something unexpected happened.

A huge gust of wind stole Marissa's beautifully handcrafted veil right off the top of her head and carried it into the shrubs of the valley.

Everyone burst out in laughter, even the officiant had to let out a giggle. It was heartwarming to see all the guests with so much joy on their faces. Capturing such an endearing and funny moment for this special couple was an honor.

Capturing Sunset Portraits

After their elopement ceremony, the newly married couple was ready to start their first adventure as husband and wife. We rushed off to take advantage of that waning golden hour light and set about to capture some breathtaking portraits.

The setting sun shone an ethereal glow upon the newlyweds, highlighting the joyous emotions of their elopement at Valley of Fire State Park. I particularly enjoyed photographing the couple against the impressive backdrop of the Seven Sisters Rock Formation, their silhouettes painted the canvas of the rocks beautifully.
