Where you should get ready?

As your trusted Miami Wedding Photographer, I highly recommend arranging for hair and makeup services at a nearby hotel in Miami before heading to Villa Woodbine. Why choose this route, you may wonder? Well, Villa Woodbine's getting ready suite, while charming, is on the smaller side. By getting ready at a hotel, you ensure ample space for your bridal party to comfortably prepare.

Plus, arriving at Villa Woodbine with hair and makeup already done means you can focus on photographing those special getting ready moments in a clean and spacious environment. It's all about setting the stage for stunning photos on your big day!

Where to have your first look?

Having photographed numerous weddings at Villa Woodbine in Miami, I've discovered some prime spots for capturing a memorable first look moment. One of my favorites is the upstairs hallway. From this vantage point, my team can frame the first look, capturing not only the exterior of Villa Woodbine but also the interior, all in a single shot.

Another spot is by the staircase, where the old-world Spanish tiles provide for a beautiful backdrop for capturing the first look.

Keep in mind, as your wedding photographer, I will always help you choose a spot for this moment. Keeping in mind of lighting, and shadows. But also, my goal is capture the love and anticipation during every first look moment. :)

How to position your ceremony?

Villa Woodbine offers a plethora of options for positioning your wedding ceremony, but my personal favorite is when couples incorporate the venue's architecture as the backdrop. The back of the house truly shines as the highlight of Villa Woodbine, and having the opportunity to capture its beauty during the ceremony is a dream come true.

The courtyard at Villa woodbine is another favorite setting for a small intimate wedding ceremony of 30 guests. My team and I can photograph your ceremony from the balcony, and from below. Really incorporating the architecture and beauty of villa woodbine. Making your wedding truly unique.

TIP: when your maid of honor is laying out your dress in the ceremony, have her bring the train towards the aisle. That way the train of the dress is within the aisle, and I can photograph the entirety of the wedding dress.

Tent or no tent?

While the choice of having a tent at Villa Woodbine might not always be within your control, particularly during the rainy season when the venue may require one, I'd highly recommend considering the option of an open-air setting whenever possible. This allows you to fully immerse yourself in the enchanting beauty of Villa Woodbine, especially under the evening sky.

However, if circumstances dictate the necessity of a tent, there's no need to sacrifice the charm of the occasion. I wholeheartedly suggest embracing the tent and decorate with a ton of string lights. Not only does this create a beautiful ambience during reception but also makes the photos look a whole lot dreamier. Elevating the entire experience and truly making it feel magical.
