Engagement photos at Central Park New York in the Spring

A Romantic, Rainy Engagement Shoot in Central Park

Spring Engagement Photos at Central Park

The best time to take your engagements photo in Central Park, would have to be the Spring or Fall. These are my two favorite seasons in New York to photograph engagement photos. The flowers are blooming, the sun is shining, and it's perfect, cozy sweater weather.  Central Park is by far, one of my favorite locations for engagement photos in New York City! It’s the perfect spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and immerse yourself in nature. I’ve photographed a couples session at this very location once before during the fall months and I just can’t get enough! (Click here to view their photos.

Ashley and Joseph engagement photo shoot in Central Park, was particularly cold, cloudy, and a bit rainy. But it didn’t stop us from taking beautiful engagement photos! Plus some of my favorite engagement photos ever are in the rain! Nothing like dancing in the rain, and just letting go and being a little free. Thank goodness this was towards the end of our engagement shoot, but it was still so perfect and they LOVED their engagement photos!! Plus, due to the weather, we essentially had Central Park all to ourselves! We started of the engagement session by walking towards some of my favorite spots in Central Park! Starting off with a secluded little spot called Ladies Pavilion in Central Park. A quiet little gazebo overlooking the Central Park Lake. There also huge rocks, right by the lake, and make for some romantic photos! Another reason, why I love photographing engagement photos in the Spring is because the Cherry Blossoms are in full bloom!! You can find them between 72nd Street and 96th Street.

Honestly, the best piece of advice, I can give you, when having your engagement photo shoot in Central Park, is to just start at one spot and then continue walking down the trail and take photos as you go. You never know what you come across, from the bridges, the cherry blossom trees, the gazebos, there is beauty in every corner. Just trust me, and I’ll guide you to some of the best spots in Central Park!
